Security Excellence Awards 2011
Now in their thirteenth year, the Security Excellence Awards have consistently broken new ground in highlighting the very best people, projects and processes the UK’s security sector has to offer.
Every October, nigh on 1,000 of the industry’s foremost practitioners gather at London’s prestigious Hilton Hotel on Park Lane to recognise and honour the magnificent achievements of their peers in the security management, installation, consultancy and manufacturing sub-sectors.
Indeed, this fabulous black tie event is recognised as the Oscars of the security business sector – and with very good reason.
We cover every aspect of security: from guarding to training, from integrated solutions to successful security partnership initiatives and the burgeoning of UK-based security talent and solutions overseas.
Organised by United Business Media and hosted by Security Management Today Online and info4security.com, the Security Excellence Awards also represent the biggest single networking opportunity for anyone who’s serious about this fantastic industry of ours and its continual betterment.
Not only do the awards provide great networking opportunities, but the evening is also a tremendous social occasion. The food and wines are always of the highest calibre, and there’ll be great entertainment into the small hours (with a live band/disco, Charity Casino and many other money-raising activities taking place for worthy causes).
Speaking of which… In recent times, we’ve raised vital funds for charities including the superb Victim Support organisation and The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
Last year, our host for the evening was comedian Paul Tonkinson. In 2009, the legendary Ronnie Corbett graced the stage, while national media celebrities including Clive Anderson and Marcus Brigstocke have also joined us in times gone by.
Across the years, we’ve had seminal speeches delivered by Security Industry Authority chief executives and chairmen.
His Royal Highness Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales and Home Secretaries have graced the pages of the Book of the Night with Forewords supporting our gargantuan efforts to see security recognised for what it rightly is – a genuine profession.
If you’re thinking about entering the Security Excellence Awards, sponsoring the event or maybe you just fancy attending as a guest, don’t just think about it… Do it!
Make no mistake, you need to be there… and be in it to win it!
